Approved Personal Assistants are people from all walks of life who want to work as a Personal Assistant to people who require social care and support.  The new Support with Confidence scheme in Oxfordshire provides training for Personal Assistants, and offers extra peace of mind to individuals wishing to engage a Personal Assistant.

Support with Confidence for Personal Assistants

The Support with Confidence scheme is a unique scheme developed by Oxfordshire County Council to ensure professional standards for Personal Assistants working in Adult Social Care.  The scheme was launched in October 2009, and we have been accepting applications from people who wish to become an Approved Personal Assistant since then.  This involves rigorous checking, several days training and strict adherence to the the Code of  Conduct for Approved Personal Assistants.
