Staff workshops
A RAS workshop took place on 28 July 2009 designed to brief staff on the Resource Allocation System and to discuss how the RAS works in practice in Oxfordshire.

On 30 and 31 January 2008 a series of staff workshops were held to explore with staff the concepts behind self directed support. The powerpoint slides and key themes of discussion are available below. Feedback from the staff workshops has been to involve staff as early as possible.

Care managers
The project team also delivered a series of presentations to care managers to explain and discuss the difference self directed support can make to service users, and the impact on the role of the care manager. The presentation, self directed support (.pdf, 2.7MB) explains the principles of self directed support as well as the planning process. It also includes further clarification of commonly used terminology.
