I am a care provider

Oxfordshire is served by a great number and variety of providers of care, ranging from services provided by the council, to large national organisations working with certain age groups or disabilities, to smaller organisations aimed at supporting people with very specific needs.

The introduction of personalisation in Oxfordshire in 2010 and the  principles of more choice and control, better information and advice, early intervention and prevention, independence - have a major impact on the way care and support are provided.

The following pages offer resources, information and guidance on the new way of making care and support available.  Some of the information in this section is specific to providers, and other information is aimed at council staff, and can be of relevance to providers as well.

This website is updated very regularly.  Please send us your comments and suggestions for additions and improvements: TakingControl@oxfordshire.gov.uk.  Feedback is always appreciated.
