Welcome to the home of self directed support in Oxfordshire

Self directed support is the new way social care is made available to people who need assistance with things which many people don't think about twice, such as getting up in the morning, doing their shopping or leaving home to go to work or socialise.

Whether you are someone who uses social services, looks after someone who does or are a professional working in social care, we aim to provide in-depth information about self directed support on the pages of this website.

Click on the silhouettes below to access the different areas on the website. All areas are accessible for all visitors.

In Oxfordshire, self directed support is being introduced in stages.

This means that some people are already planning their own support under self directed support, while in some areas we are preparing to introduce the new way of working over the coming months. How this affects you personally depends on where you live in the county and when you need to arrange social care. You can read more about this in the 'I use social care services' section.

We hope you find the information and detail you are looking for on this website. If you would like to share your feedback with us, please contact us by clicking on 'I want to get in touch'.
